Judy and I toured both the U.S. and English army bases, however, Joan was the first in the family to do this. She was particularly pleased to be booked for a tour of U.S. bases in Germany as she had never been abroad before. She took with her two of her favourite characters, Edmundo Ros and Rose Murphy, at a loss to know what would appeal to American children. She need not have worried for everyone enjoyed all the items in her act.
